One Tree Hill
September 28, 2006
okay, confession time. I really love One Tree Hill. It’s such a great, bad show. I’ll never forgive them for killing off Craig Sheffer, though. I’ve had a crush on him since Fire with Fire in the 1980s.

I Hate Birthdays
September 25, 2006
I really don’t like celebrating my birthday. It’s not because I have some fear of aging or anything, but I just don’t really like it. Based on pictures I’ve seen, I used to love birthdays. Want to find out how to teach someone to hate birthdays? Read on!
Bad Timing?
September 22, 2006
Why do bad things seem to happen all at once? Before you have time to recooperate, you’re just bombarded one after the other
But I guess that also goes for good luck, right? Can’t wait for THAT to come around…

Don’t Sign Your Credit Cards
September 19, 2006
Here’s an interesting bit on personal security I never thought about. By signing the back of your credit cards you are just providing a sample of your signature for thieves.

Scary Story
September 15, 2006
- I just heard the SCARIEST story from my Yoga instructor today -
She told me that in this small Spanish town’s cemetery, they found buried bodies only half decomposed vs. being fully decomposed.
The reason? You guessed it! With all the preservatives that we are are eating these days, the bodies couldn’t decompose fully…
Something to think about, huh?

Food Porn
September 14, 2006
What is it about really great food photography that I love so much? Is it really food porn? I’ve just spent too long going through this Flickr group trying to find a specific food blog that I can’t remember the damn name of. No luck — but I’m loving some of the photographs!

!Mi Familia!
Half of my husband’s family fled to Spain from Cuba after Castro took over. So after all these years, I ended up having my wish come true - being part of a Spanish family. I have officially become their first Japanese relative and they were all ecstatic to meet me! I never dreamt that marrying a Cuban-American from Miami would give me a whole set of European families. Life is full of wonderful surprises, isn’t it?!
Jamon Iberico
Has been the talk between my Japanese gourmet friends. I had no idea that it was from Spain, but when I was there last week, I made sure I ate lots of it!
Doing some research, I realized it’s only been recently that importing it to the US has been approved. I wonder how much they go for…

Water is Controversial?
September 13, 2006
It’s funny, that a little blog post about drinking water being energizing could create such a dynamic dialogue.
I have to say that I have found that on long drives drinking water can be more stimulating than a gallon of coffee. Of course, I don’t really drink coffee anymore, but it’s the same with tea.
I think what a lot of people are missing is that if you are a caffeine junkie — then the water isn’t going to work so well.
